Back to School Linky Party

 photo 90198fcc-6ece-4d52-a93b-743a1c6f011b.jpg

Third in Hollywood is hosting a Back-to-School link party.  What a wonderful idea - to be able to find all sorts of Back-to-School materials all in one place!!!  What more could we need??

Here is my contribution to back-to-school.  Click on the picture or here to check it out.
Back to school multiplication game
It is a game to practice multiplication facts.  It includes five game boards.  Students ideally would use  10-sided dice, or they can use a spinner, multiply the two numbers together and mark the answer they get on the board.  It can be played individually or with a partner.  If playing with a partner, each student can have their own board, or to make it more challenging, they could use one board to see who covers the most answers.  So many options for play.

My class last year loved these games.  I have created a few more seasonal ones as well.  I used them as part of my center activities, but some students would pull them out during indoor recess as well.

Be sure to go visit Third in Hollywood to check out all of the other great back-to-school items.

July Currently!!!

I can't believe it is July already!!!  It feels like summer just started, and soon school will be starting again!!!

Today I am linking up with Farley at Oh Boy 4th Grade to her wonderful linky!!!!

I just love reading what everyone posts.  I think this is one of my favorite links to join.

I have been pretty lazy the last couple of days, even though I really have tons and tons of stuff to get done.  I need to get my planning done for the upcoming year.  I want to work on my pacing guide some, I didn't like a few things about last year, so some fine tuning will help.  I also have some crochet projects to pull out and complete, as well as some summer reading to do -both professional and personal.  Oh, if summer could last a little longer, but alas, it is shorter this year.  We are starting on August 11th this year, and out students on the 14th.  Summer just flies by, doesn't it!!!

Let's Get Acquainted Linky Party

What a fun way to get to know about fellow bloggers!  I am linking up with Latoya @ Flyin' Into First Grade for the Let's Get Acquainted Linky Party.  It's in a Tic-Tac-Toe format.  You answer 3 questions either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

I am going to answer the questions in the right-most column.

Dream Vacation - When I was a kid, my parents took me and my sister to Williamsburg and Yorktown, VA.  I absolutely loved it.  I have always wanted to go back and spend a week or two.  I love anything historical.  There is so much there to check out.  It doesn't hurt that there is a Busch Gardens in the area.

Books I'm Reading:  Well, I guess I have to put these into two categories - School related and personal reading.  for the school-related books, I am tackling several:

For personal reading, I am not ashamed to say I am reading some smutty books.  I just finished the first book in Sylvia Day's series, and working on the second one.

These are similar to the Fifty Shades Trilogy.

Hobbies - As far as hobbies go, I have several, but have not been able to do many lately, other than read.  I love to do many paper crafts - card-making, stamping, scrapbooking, etc.  I also enjoy crocheting and cross-stitching.  However, I have not done any of these for some time.  I have actually thought about putting some of my stuff on sale on ebay.  I just need to get motivated, or quit talking myself out of it!!

Well, that's my contribution.  I am looking forward to reading posts on other blogs.  If you want to link up, visit Flying in First Grade.
